Where did the time go?
Sometimes I need little extra push to get myself pointed in the right direction. There are countless methods out there that proclaim to cure a writer of their creative blocks, or motivate even the most lethargic pencil pusher.
Nostrums! Snake Oil!
Autism-causing vaccinations! OK, maybe not that last one.
As a slacker fueled by distractions, I have attempted just about every method out there to escape the event horizon of the anti-productivity black hole. Yet, even my ever-increasing mass does not seem to attract enough accountability to keep me from ignoring the goal all together and justifying my inaction.
Something a little more drastic must be done.
What’s this? A new Worthless Genius Podcast Episode?
It’s been forever since the last episode of the Worthless Genius Podcast, so bear with me as I get back into the swing of things.
In this weeks episode, I touch on the following topics:
Thank you for tuning in to the Worthless Genius Podcast. I hope you’ll stick around for Episode 2 of Season 2. Next episode will have a bit more flair, as I get used to Soundbooth and the overall workflow process.

I’ve done quite a few Software Spotlight articles covering various applications that I use on a constant basis. And while each of these applications deserve the spotlight in their own respect, I have come to rely on a service more than others: Remember The Milk.
Remember The Milk is a simple cloud-based task management system that provides all the functionality needed to run a reliable GTD system without much extra overhead. What RTM lacks in fancy features, it makes up for with integration with many other services out there, like Google Calendar and Twitter.
So, why has RTM become such an integral part of my lifestyle?
Back in mid September, I launched an initiative to get myself to write more, called 60 Days, 60(+) Posts. That initiative turned out to be a rousing success, so I’d like to announce that I am once again taking up the challenge.
I had originally planned on re-recording this, but time dictated me no grace. A more well-rounded episode will be available for next week.
Episode 3 of the Worthless Genius Podcast brings us back to the format that premiered in Episode 2. We have two short news article discussions, and a Site to See. Classes start today for me, so this week’s release schedule may be a little tight. I would like to get into a 10 minute show every Monday, Wednesday and Friday if possible, but we’ll see what time is like. Here’s what we covered today:
Site to See

I’m tinkering around with the features of WordPress lately. I’ve begun to see that a lot of times, I have no energy to write some drivel about anything at all in my life, and this means that I don’t produce any results.
I’ve started using the “Schedule Later” feature here on WordPress, so that I can write a bunch of articles when I have the urge, and choose to publish them at a later date when I know I just won’t have the energy.
So, if you start to see articles published at odd times in the night, or while I’m currently in class, don’t worry, I’m actually sleeping or paying attention (respectively, of course), and not wasting the time that is given to me.
Anyway, just a heads up in that department.
